“Wisdom Speaks” by Amanda Kenney

I remain quiet

and patient.

I see my age in the lines along my skin,

yet each day is new.

Shh . . .

listen.

Wisdom tells stories.

I am strong.

The lines on my forehead are unmistakable,

but my laugh lines run deep.

Stories are told within these creases.

Quiet.

Wait.

Wisdom speaks.
